Hanne Kyzer | she/her

It is human to feel lost or disconnected. Maybe this feeling is new, comes and goes, or has been a constant buzz in the background for as long as you can remember. Whether it’s trauma, life stressors, unmet needs, or mental health challenges, it all shapes how we show up and experience the world. I am here to support and explore these experiences alongside you.

My approach to therapy is holistic, warm, affirming, deeply curious, and empathetic. I am dedicated to providing a trauma-informed and safe space for people to embrace healing. I believe every person embodies unique strengths and is the expert of themself. I incorporate interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness and somatic practices, and Motivational Interviewing using a strengths-based, systems, and person-centered approach. I do not believe in the idea that one size fits all! Our work will be tailored to your experience and goals, meeting you where you are.

I am especially passionate about working with individuals to process trauma, unravel unhealthy family dynamics, build confidence, move through shame, set healthy boundaries, and connect deeper to one’s authentic self. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent folks, and take pride in offering a neurodiversity-affirming practice. I am dedicated to providing inclusive care and finding the right supports for all people and identities. With my Veterinary Social Work Certificate, I am passionate about the human-animal bond. For many, this bond is one’s most secure attachment. I am committed to supporting individuals with pet loss and incorporating animal-assisted interventions. I also aim to provide animal-assisted therapy in the future!

Therapy is not a forever process. My goal is to empower and support you as you build skills and explore how to live a life guided by your values, fostering greater confidence, self-understanding, and tools you can carry with you. You are deserving of compassion and healing. I would be honored to work alongside you if this feels like the right fit!

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, building terrariums, spending time with my crested gecko, and painting.
