If you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused by your emotions, or wondering why you can’t just “move on,” you’re not alone. Many people who reach out to me feel exhausted from holding it together while quietly questioning why things still feel so hard. You may look fine on the outside and feel anything but on the inside.
What I want you to know first is this: nothing is wrong with you.
I view much of emotional pain through the lens of grief and loss. Grief isn’t only about death. It can come from divorce, health challenges, caregiving, becoming an empty nester, childhood neglect, adoption, trauma, or the loss of a life you thought you would have. When these experiences aren’t recognized for what they are, people often feel overwhelmed, ashamed of their reactions, or like they’re “too much.”
Many of the adults I work with have tried therapy before but left feeling unseen or misunderstood. Others cope by staying busy, pushing their feelings away, or being hard on themselves for struggling. What they’re really longing for is to feel heard, accepted, and understood without judgment.
Working with me feels like talking with someone who truly gets it. I move at your pace and focus on helping you feel safe enough to share your story, even if you don’t have the words yet. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly, like they can finally exhale. There is room for honesty, emotion, and even a little humor when it fits.
Our work together is about helping your nervous system feel safer and your inner world feel more manageable. Over time, people begin to feel more grounded, less overwhelmed by their emotions, and kinder toward themselves. They learn how to sit with their feelings, set boundaries, ask for what they need, and create a life that feels more balanced and aligned.
I use trauma-informed approaches such as Brainspotting and somatic work in ways that feel supportive and human, not clinical or intimidating. You don’t need to know therapy language or have it all figured out to begin.
I became a therapist because therapy changed my own life, and I know how powerful it is to finally feel seen and understood. I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work. I am a mother of three, an adoptee, and someone who has navigated profound loss and major life transitions firsthand. These experiences shape how I show up with deep compassion, humility, and care.
I work with adults navigating grief, loss, trauma, emotional overeating, and life transitions. I offer in-person therapy in Tennessee and virtual sessions for clients in Tennessee and Illinois. I provide a free 20–30 minute phone consultation.
If you’re tired of carrying this alone, you don’t have too anymore. Therapy with me is meaningful work, but it doesn’t feel cold or clinical. It feels like being genuinely seen, supported, and cared for. I would be honored to walk alongside you.
